US says ready to boost steel import duties to recover industry
WASHINGTON, Feb 26 (PRIME) -- The United States may impose higher duties on steel imports if it is necessary to recover the local industry, President Donald Trump told reporters on Monday.
The U.S. Department of Commerce earlier proposed a 53% duty on steel imports from Russia and 11 more countries including China and India.
No final decision has been made yet.
